"They did end up fixing the problem, but..."
They did end up fixing the problem, but it took way longer than it should have. I had plans that day and basically had to rearrange everything while waiting around, which was really frustrating. Glad it’s fixed, but the whole process was not smooth at all.

"A bit more hassle than I hoped for"
I rented a lens for a weekend shoot and, unfortunately, the experience didn’t go as smoothly as I expected. The shipping arrived later than planned, and it took a while to hear back from customer service, which made things a little stressful. The lens worked, but it had a bit more visible wear than I was anticipating. I also found the return process somewhat confusing. It may have just been an off experience, but I’m not sure I’d use cameralensrentals.com again.

"Kind of confirmed my worries about shipping"
I rented a lens for a weekend trip, and the shipping was slower than I expected. I already had a feeling it might cut things close, and this pretty much confirmed that worry for me. It showed up late enough to throw off my plans, which was really frustrating. The lens itself was totally fine once I got it, but the timing left a bad impression

"Good protection, but a bit pricey"
The damage waiver did come in handy, so I’m glad I had that extra protection. That said, the checkout options were a little confusing and felt like a preventable hassle. Overall it’s a good option, just a bit on the pricey side.

I had to send it back, and the whole return process took longer than I thought it would. I was trying to handle it after work one evening, already a little tired, and the instructions weren’t super clear, so I had to reread everything a couple times. It got done in the end, but it definitely wasn’t as simple or quick as I was hoping

"Pickup felt more frustrating than it needed to be"
I rented a lens for local pickup, my gut reaction was that the whole thing felt a bit disorganized. When I got there, the lens wasn’t ready, and while the staff was polite, they seemed kind of unsure about what was going on. I ended up waiting longer than I expected. The gear itself was totally fine, but the pickup process left a bad impression. I’m not sure I’d choose the local pickup option again.

I rented a lens for a weekend trip and, to be fair, the delivery showed up right when it was supposed to. The return label was easy enough to use too. I just ended up feeling a bit disappointed overall, like the whole experience was fine but not as smooth or impressive as I was hoping. Solid, just not anything special.

"Lens showed up really dirty"
I don’t know, I was disappointed when I opened it up. The lens had dust all over it, like everywhere, and it just didn’t feel like something that should arrive that way. I tried to give it a chance, but honestly... yeah, I wouldn’t buy this again.

"Solid packaging and the lens was totally fine"
I rented a lens from cameralensrentals.com and, the packaging was actually solid. There was plenty of padding in the box, and everything felt secure when I opened it up.
The lens case was clean and fit nice and snug, so nothing was rattling around or feeling loose. They also included the return packaging, which actually made sending it back really easy.

I’m giving it 4 stars because the outside box was a little beat up when it arrived, but the gear inside was completely fine and worked with no issues.

"Deposit hold threw me off at first"
The authorization went through without any issue, but I was a little confused about the deposit hold at first because I wasn’t sure when it would drop off, then after a few days it came back like it was supposed to and everything ended up being fine.

"Lens was a bit rough"
I rented a zoom lens for a weekend shoot, it just wasn’t in the best shape. The focus kept acting a little jumpy, and a bunch of my shots came out softer than I expected, which was frustrating because I was, well, trying to keep things moving and not fight the gear the whole time. It worked enough to get me through the shoot, but for what I paid, I really expected something cleaner and more reliable. Not sure I’d take the chance again

I tried making a reservation a few times, but it just kept failing on me. Not sure if their system was glitching or if the site was overloaded or something, but after a while I just gave up.

"Helpful staff who actually knew the gear"
I rented a Sony lens for a weekend shoot and had a couple of probably basic questions about adapters and shooting in low light. I was a little nervous about getting the wrong setup and basically risking the whole shoot, but the person I talked to clearly knew the gear and wasn’t just repeating whatever was on the website, which made me feel a lot better.
Pickup and return were both smooth. I’m taking off one star because the email reply was a bit slow the first day, and I didn’t want to lose time figuring things out last minute. But once I actually got someone, they were super helpful and solid.

I needed a lens urgently and reached out to support, but they took too long to get back to me. They were polite when they finally responded, but it didn’t really help given the time crunch. I ended up having to find another option. Just a heads-up: if you’re dealing with a last-minute rental, I wouldn’t rely on them.
